Hey! Don’t get scared of the title…..I am talking about the most recent episode of ‘The Closer‘…. Actually, recent episode of ‘The Closer’ was entitled ‘Time Bomb’ and was really a nerve wracking episode of fourth season which also served as the mid season finale. I liked it from the beginning to the end. It had a great theme and the awesome twists and cliffhangers were enough to tie you to your seat.
Awesome- this is what I’d like to call this episode and that’s why I watch ‘The Closer‘. Okay, before I keep on praising ‘Time Bomb’, let’s first see what happened in the episode. Episode started in a light tone and when they dragged Brenda out of the crime scene, I heartily laughed at her. We saw that Brenda’s team is trying to stop terrorism and while doing so, they investigate the mysterious death of a teenager. As they go into the depth, they realize that the dead teen may be a part of a secret plan to massacre hundreds of innocent people with a bomb blast. The whole episode was full of explosions, action and violence, but in a very well and decently organized way. The whole squad races against the time to track down the bomb, before it explodes and becomes the reason of several deaths. The team is also given a sudden reminder that working at LAPD may be life threatening. Hmmmm… lots of fear and seriousness of plot. But luckily, someone was there to please us and it was Provenza, whose jokes added a sense of cool humor to an already fantastic episode. And, I think you must not skip this episode and must see how things turn from a lighter tone to a serious tone. In the end of the episode, we see Brenda who rides in a helicopter with Sanchez. Really, they people plan every thing brilliantly and that’s why, ‘The Closer’ is one of the very successful, consistent, crime based series being aired on TV nowadays.
‘Time Bomb’ actually worked out as a mid season finale. I really want to see more and also would like to watch what happens next…. That’s why mid season finale are planned - they leave hanging around , without knowing what’s gonna happen next! Well, to see more, I have to wait till Jan, 2009….. hopefully!
