Season 3

‘The Closer’ third season was premiered on June 18, 2007 and the season opener was entitled ‘Homewrecker’. In the beginning of the third season, we see that a financial crisis in LAPD makes Brenda to deal with the budget cuts and her team’s troubles, and she’s determined to keep her team intact. On the other hand, the investigation team is set to investigate the murder of a family where the son, the only one survivor as well as the drug addict, is being considered as the main suspect. Next episode was entitled ‘Grave Doubts’; here we see that dead body of a young mobster is found with Provenza’s business card in his pocket. In the very same episode, Fritz tells Brenda’s father that they’re living together. Next, comes the episode ‘Saving Face’. In the episode ‘Ruby’ we see that a girl is kidnapped while she was returning to home after school and the investigation team tries to find out who’s behind the abduction.

In ‘The Round File’, a man admits to the murder of seven people but he doesn’t disclose his identity. Various other episodes aired during third season are: ‘Manhunt’- a Deputy DA’s wife is found dead and all clues point towards a serial killer; ‘Blindsided’- Brenda’s parents visit her; ‘Culture Shock’- Brenda steps in to investigate the murder of a young Chinese woman. While she is busy in investigating the case, Flitz tries to entertain her parents; ‘Lover’s Leap’- Homeland Security’s employee is found dead in Los Angeles and Brenda joins FBI to investigate the mystery; ‘Til Death Do Us Part 1′- it was a two part episode. Season finale was entitled ‘Next of Kin (Part 1) and it was also a two part episode. In the end of the third season, we see that Brenda investigates the disappearance of a witness and also visits her hometown. She comes back to Los Angeles, in the second part of the same episode.

Season’s Top Ranked Episode- ‘Blindsided’

Department Psychiatrist removes Brenda from her current job after she shoots a serial killer. She is re-tasked to escort a TV reporter and while doing so she becomes an eye witness to a shooting accident. We also see that her parents visit her in this episode.
