Season 4
‘The Closer’ returned with fourth season on July 14, 2008 and the first episode of this season was entitled ‘Controlled Burn’. Series is currently running with fourth season and it is a two part season. 10 episodes have been aired during the first half of season and second half will commence in Jan. 2009. In the season opener, we see that a woman is found dead in a fire and Brenda investigates her murder. Bill Croelick re-appears in this episode and his reappearance complicates the situation for Brenda. In the next episode, ‘Speed Bump’, Brenda and her team deal with a dilemma whether or not the murder they’re investigating, is a co-incident. Brenda also has her personal issues and she must have to face an incapacitated Fritz. Next episode was entitled ‘Cherry Bomb’; here we see that a young gal is found dead. Brenda’s intelligent mind immediately catches her classmate who was previously accused of raping her.
As they dig in to explore more, they come to face some hidden truths. In ‘Live Wire’, we see that Sgt. Gabriel and Detective Daniels’ on-off relationship drama affects their profession. In the fifth episode ‘Dial M for Provenza’, Brenda sends Lt. Provenza to investigate the case of a woman who may be attempting to kill her husband. But fate doesn’t help Provenza and the evidence gets stolen. Now, Brenda and her team must cover up the things, of course, by finding what has been lost. And, they all try their best to locate the whereabouts of evidence. Various other episodes aired during the fourth season are: ‘Problem Child’- After the disappearance of a teenage boy, Brenda struggles to determine whether it’s a runaway or an abduction; ‘Sudden Death’- We see that Sanchez’s brother is shot but who the shooter is; ‘Split Ends’- the team investigates the murder of a hairdresser. Season’s mid finale episode ‘Time Bomb’ was aired on September 15, 2008.
Season’s Top Ranked Episode- ‘Problem Child’
In this episode, we see that a teenage boy disappears. Brenda, along with her team, struggles to determine whether it’s a runaway or abduction. It may be a self murder also; team is set to find what the reality is. The more they get into the case, it becomes more sinister.
