GW Bailey attended Thomas Jefferson High School and, afterwards, enrolled in Lamar University. He graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Theatre. He made his debut in acting by working at Local Theatre Companies during 1960s. In 1970s, he appeared in hit shows such as ‘Starsky and Hutch’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels’ etc. He has appeared in several shows but is best known for his portrayal of Captain Thaddeus Harris in ‘Police Academy’. In ‘Mannequin’, he appeared as Captain Felix Maxwell and in ‘M*A*S*H’, he portrayed staff Sergeant Luther Rizzo. In 1979, he was seen in a movie named ‘A Force of One’.
