Jon Tenney’s mother was a psychiatrist and his father was a research physicist. He has three siblings and he’s the youngest of the four. He started appearing in stage productions when he was a kid. He graduated from Vassar College while majoring in Drama and Philosophy. After graduation, he studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre and worked in more than 150 plays. He made his first professional debut by appearing in ‘The Real Thing’. While his stay in New York, he was seen in ‘Biloxi Blues’, ‘The Substance of Fire’ and ‘The Heiress’. His TV credits are: ‘Brooklyn South’, ‘Will & Grace’, ‘Murphy Brown’, ‘Spenser: For Hire’, and ‘Get Real’. In ‘Fools Rush In’, he appeared as Mathew Perry’s best friend. He was also seen in movies such as ‘Tombstone’, ‘Music from another Room’ and ‘Nixon’ etc.
He was married to Teri Hatcher and has a daughter, Emerson Rose with her. Now, they’ve separated from each other.
