Star of The Closer Gets Honored with Another Star
Kyra Sedgwick who portrayed the character of Los Angeles Police Department deputy police chief, Brenda Johnson, on “The Closer“, has recently been honored with her own star at Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
This honor was conferred upon the lead actress of The Closer when she attended the ceremony at Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 8. She was accompanied by her husband at this prestigious event. She became the 2,384th celebrity to have been selected for this great honor which every actor aspires for. She is now among that immensely talented league of actors who have their stars planted on the stretch of Hollywood Boulevard which honors Tinsel town celebrities.
In her speech at the prestigious event Kyra Sedgwick of “The Closers”, stated that, “So honored to be among the actors on Hollywood Blvd., but memorable performances are never made alone.” How right and humble she was while saying these words, as she gave full credit to the entire team of “The Closers”, for winning this great token of respect for her acting skills.
When it comes to portraying the character of, Los Angeles Police Department deputy police chief, Brenda Johnson in the television series of The Closer, she appears to have really stepped into the shoes of a real life cop. The grit and passion of solving the crimes, a quality that is omnipresent in most of the daring US cops has been portrayed beautifully by her, enlivening up the character of Brenda Johnson.
Coming to the television series “The Closer”, it is such a hit among the audiences only because of its immensely talented star cast. I definitely think that many more awards and honors for the actors of this show are due as series has rocked all its four seasons. My special congratulations go out to Kyra Sedgwick and the entire team involved in “The Closer”.
